KTM EXC piston change intervals. I have just bought Blue's ktm EXC 250. According to the service history its done 430 hours, which seems a tad high, and with me running it for 10 minutes, put afew hours on the trip meter! Regardless, it hasnt had a piston for 100 hours according to the trip.
I rode a KTM 500 EXC as a featherweight ADV platform for several thousand mixed-use miles. I would NOT go under 500cc for anything that you expect to be able to keep up with highway traffic, but the EXC could hold 70mph just fine - did plenty of highway miles on it. As someone else noted, the maintenance intervals are tough but not crazy.
