It seemed like the Epix would recharge from empty in less than an hour. I would only recharge it every week or so. The Fenix is much, much slower. I had it plugged into a 2.4A external USB charger for about a half hour this morning and it only recharged 20% or so. I've tried several different chargers including using the USB port on my computer

There is no corrosion on battery terminal port on Fenix 5 and cable. I have wiped and clean the terminal ports with tissue. Please advise what should i do next.

When you cannot power on your Fenix or it will not charge when you plug it into charge, a soft reset with it unplugged and then plugging it into charge will often resolve the issue. Not 100% of the time since the issue could be a battery failure or other hardware issues but more than not the steps are successful.

Contact Garmin support. I have the exact same watch, all the latest updates and the solar battery charge meter shows solar charging immediately. I checked the version of my software. It’s 15.20. I have auto update enabled (I double checked). I’m far behind given the fact I should have always the latest software. The charge is very touchy and I have to manipulate it to just the right spot. I used a brass wire brush and cleaned mine and sprayed it with some qd electronic cleaner. I used some dielectric grease to protect the contacts along with a cover for the port. No problems anymore.
